25 High School & 13 Middle School Teams set to invade Kellogg Arena!

Border Wars Wrestling is pleased to partner with Tiffin University Head Coach Doug Jesse for the First Annual Shark Bait Duals

Camp on July 10th & 11th at Tiffin University Ohio. This event is to help draw folks to the Tiffin Campus and looks help add future

growth to the program. The Dragons will compete in it’s first year as an NCAA Varsity Program in Division 2 this year and

wanted to offer something special to make people aware of the wrestling opportunities for every caliber of athlete centered on a

small beautiful midwest campus.

Tiffin Wrestling Staff along with Ohio State Head Coach Tom Ryan will conduct Training Sessions on Saturday at the Tiffin

Wrestling Room and the Teams will competein Round Robin Duals for about 6 Matches each to finish off a weekend of great

wrestling. Border Wars Duals Director Rob Stehley with the support of Mat Sharks Club Coach Travis Traxler brainstormed the

idea as a way to  help connect good wrestlers that have not yet decided what direction they want to go after High School and

provide a reason to get them on a College Wrestling Campus in front of College Coaches to for an incentive to those kids

thinking how to pursue education and competition after high school. We are taking a strong approach in getting wrestlers

on College campuses, there are a number of Border Wars events coming up over Summer and Fall that provides that opportunity

and we feel that it’s our way to make a connect the young Wrestling families and College Coaches.

Several of the Teams entered for Shark Bait have competed in Border Wars Duals already this Summer and there have been a

lot of good connections made, Stehley says just about every College Coach in Michigan at all levels made it over to the

Midwest Grand Challenge in May at MSU and I have heard that several guy’s have had a lot of communication with Coaches &

Wrestlers off that event. Our Big Summer finale is coming up with 30 Teams from New York to California will be arriving for the

Grand River Rumble taking place at Battle Creek’s Kellogg Arena.  There are a few spots open so interested Teams should

email soon to: rstehley@hotmail.com
